Our slogan at Canaan is: “We are a church with a heart.” Not only is this a saying of ours, but we try to exemplify this in our actions, as you will discover as you participate in the many ministries within our church family. How can you participate? Simply by joining any group and/or ministry you see listed within this handbook. Each of the ministries is desperately seeking new members to bring new, challenging, and invigorating ideas to worship, celebrate and serve One Master, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. By joining with one of these groups, you will begin to live out the words of my most favorite scripture found in James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
