The tour lasted about 30 minutes. The tour is worth it as you get to see everything with a good number of stops where they have monitors above to explain the specific area you are viewing. After the tour (or you can do it before), you can see the museum, bat vault and make other items.
Q:
Can I leave and come back on the same day with my admission ticket?
A:
When I reserved my ticket you had to select a specific time slot and they would only let you in during that time slot. So I would say you could not return
