We viewed Lake Pukaki from the new Ngai Tahu visitor centre, next to the State Highway. There is plenty of parking and a cafe as well. The lake shoreline is right alongside. Full review by kenh743

The lake was stunning - a vivid blue evidently due to the melting glaciers and snow. The road to Mt Cook runs along the side of the lake and it's crowded with tour buses, cars etc. Finding a viewpoin… Full review by Grant N
