Actor Alec Baldwin has sued prosecutors in New Mexico, accusing them of malicious prosecution and civil rights violations.

Baldwin, whose involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed in July, accused New Mexico officials of abusing their power in prosecuting him.

Alec Baldwin is ready to go back to court over Rust. The actor filed a lawsuit accusing New Mexico prosecutors and investigators of “malicious prosecution” over the dismissed manslaughter case against him,

Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed in July and last month, prosecutors dropped their notice to appeal, officially ending the criminal case

The lawsuit accused prosecutors and law enforcement of wanting to convict the actor of involuntary manslaughter “for all the wrong reasons.”
