An apartment fire in Hartford forced more than 20 people out of their homes Monday night and two people were taken to the hospital. In total, 23 people are displaced. The Hartford Fire Department said that included 21 adults and two kids who now have to find another place to live for the time being.

Twenty-three people were displaced and two women were rescued from a fire in a multi-family home in Hartford Monday night. The fire happened on Wethersfield Avenue around 9:20 p.m. Hartford Deputy Fire Chief Adam Guertin said that people were hanging out of windows and screaming when crews arrived at the scene.

Several firefighters were among five people taken to the hospital following a crash in Hartford late Thursday involving a fire truck. Emergency crews at 9:50 p.m. responded to a crash in the area 197 Main St. involving a civilian car and a fire truck, according to the Hartford Fire Department.

Nearly two dozen people were rescued from an apartment fire in Hartford on Monday morning. Seven families were forced from their homes, according to fire officials. The fire started at an apartment on Wethersfield Avenue near Colt Park.
