Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action with a back injury since last month but was named in India's provisional squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

India entered the 2017 Champions Trophy as defending champions, having tasted glory in 2013. Their campaign started on a high as Virat Kohli 's men beat Pakistan in their opener. Their next clash against Sri Lanka saw them suffer a shock defeat. However, they cleared the group stage with a win against South Africa.

India are set to take a final decision on Jasprit Bumrah's participation in the Champions Trophy on February 11, the deadline for submission of the final squads to the ICC, as uncertainty lingers over his fitness.
