John Sterling has some words of wisdom for his successor. As The Post first reported last week, Dave Sims will be taking over for the legendary Sterling on the Yankees’ radio broadcasts on WFAN next season.

The man replacing John Sterling as Suzyn Waldman's play-by-play partner on New York Yankees radio broadcasts has spent the last 20 years calling games.

WFAN, the flagship radio station for the Yankees since 2014, has been searching for Sterling's replacement, and they've now found their guy. Dave Sims, who was the Mariners announcer on Root Sports since 2007, will take over Sterling's duty on WFAN beginning in 2025.
