Air wars to intensify at Luton airport as Jet2 launches new routes for 2025 - The budget airline will take on easyJet, Ryanair, Tui and Wizz Air with 36 flights a week in summer 2025

Flights and holidays are now on sale with Jet2 as it becomes the latest airline to start flying from Luton Airport.

Luton will become Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ 13th UK base, and will launch shortly after the airline and operator expands to Bournemouth in February 2025

Jet2 will base two A321neos from April 1, 2025 (no joke), with some flights operated by non-based equipment. The airline opened its Liverpool base in March 2024, while Bournemouth—and now Luton—will begin in 2025.

UK charter carrier Jet2 has announced the opening of a new base at London-Luton Airport for the summer of 2025 with two Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today revealed the latest stage in their expansion, with award-winning flights and holidays launching from London Luton Airport for Summer 25 – which becomes their 13th UK airport base.

The airport is owned by Luton Borough Council company Luton Rising and run by a private operator. The council's Labour leader Hazel Simmons said the investment would "deliver for our town and neighbouring communities".
