A 24-year-old lyricist from Karnataka has been arrested for allegedly issuing a death threat to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and himself. This was done in hopes of generating publicity for his song in an upcoming film with Salman Khan.

A 23-year-old YouTuber, Sohail Pasha, was arrested for threatening Salman Khan, posing as the lyricist of a song dedicated to the actor.

An officer said that on questioning, Sohel Pasha told them he wanted publicity and felt with the kind of attention that threats to Salman Khan were getting, he felt it would make him popular if he added his own name as well.
