TikTok says it plans to shut down in U.S. unless Supreme Court saves it
Social media service TikTok is now saying it’ll shut its U.S. operations down some time in the next 10 days, unless the Supreme Court overturns a law (passed back in April 2024) ordering the service’s Chinese owners to sell it.
ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, said it will start the shutdown process if the Supreme Court doesn’t step in.
TikTok will be ending its operation in the United States in only ten days barring a last-second move from the Supreme Court.
