Beyoncé is the latest major Hollywood player to donate big money toward the fire relief effort. On Jan. 13, it was announced that Eva Longoria donated $1 million toward helping those impacted by the fires. The announcement came days after Jamie Lee Curtis also pledged $1 million to support L.A. during this historic catastrophe.

Beyoncé is postponing an announcement she had previously teased to unveil on January 14, writing in a statement posted to her Instagram page that her decision to postpone was “due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles.

Queen B’s January 14 announcement was teased during her NFL Christmas Day halftime show performance, which was livestreamed on Netflix. Although nothing has been confirmed as of writing, fans speculated that the announcement could be in relation to her next Act III album following RENAISSANCE and Cowboy Carter, and/or a subsequent tour.
