The Washington, D.C. region is bracing for winter weather with a significant snow threat from Sunday night into Monday.

For most of Hampton Roads, and northeast North Carolina we can expect periods of rain, particularly during the late morning and afternoon. However, the Peninsulas and Eastern Shore may see a much more impactful winter event as the cold air leads to an increased chance of greater accumulations of snow/sleet.
