Senate Democrats on Tuesday voted to filibuster a GOP-led bill to sanction International Criminal Court officials.

Democratic senators have supported blocking a Republican bill that aimed to impose sanctions on officials of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The bill was intended to punish the Court for issuing arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials,

European officials have warned that the bill, prompted by an arrest warrant for Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, would irreparably harm the institution.
