County supervisor candidate and Imperial Beach Mayor Paloma Aguirre is a prominent voice in the Tijuana River Valley sewage crisis, which has sickened and alarmed residents, and was recently a major part of the effort to secure millions in federal funding to go towards resolving the issue.
