Julen Lopetegui has been fired by West Ham after less than a year in the job and with the Premier League club in danger of being dragged into a relegation fight.

West Ham sacked manager Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday after just 22 games in charge, with former Chelsea boss Graham Potter expected to replace him at the London Stadium.

Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is poised to return to football at West Ham United after they sacked Julen Lopetegui. Potter is reported to have agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Hammers and is set to be in the dugout for Friday’s FA Cup third-round trip to Aston Villa.
