A Kings player has found himself in hot water with the NHL Department of Player Safety after slew-footing Oilers captain Connor McDavid.

The NHL Department of Player Safety fined Adrian Kempe for an incident with Connor McDavid in the third period of Monday's Kings and Oilers game.

The Edmonton Oilers played a tightly contested battle against the Los Angeles Kings last night, and more than a few times, the Kings took liberties with Connor McDavid.

This just in, NHL Player Safety has fined Los Angeles Kings forward Adrian Kempe $5,000 for an illegal slew foot trip on Edmonton Oilers captain and the NHL’s top superstar Connor McDavid. The slew foot came midway through the 3rd period of last night’s 1-0 win for the Oilers on a play that went seemingly unnoticed

The Oilers and Kings had what felt like a playoff game last night as the Oilers took home the 2 points in a 1-0 victory at home. It was obviously a low-event game, but there was one play that stood out for many.

Los Angeles Kings winger Adrian Kempe is getting fined by the NHL. Kempe is getting slapped with a $5,000 fine for slew-footing Edmonton’s Connor McDavid, per the league’s Player Safety office. Slew-footing is when a player uses their feet or legs to knock an opposing player’s feet from under them.
