A handful of players and a coach were ejected from Sunday night's contest between the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves following a scuffle in the second quarter. The fight broke out after Timberwolves' Naz Reid and Pistons' Ron Holland exchanged words, leading to a scrapping between almost everyone on the court.
It wasn't the Malice in the Palace. But a dust-up between the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday quickly escalated and spilled into the stands at Target Center in Minneapolis, resulting in the ejection of seven players and coaches.
Tempers flared between the Timberwolves and Pistons, which spilled into the crowd as players shoved one another and a camera operator along the baseline got knocked over.
Minnesota (43-32) beat the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night in a game that escalated into a near-brawl in the second quarter and now takes that attitude into Denver to face the Nuggets on Tuesday night.
