OpenAI’s CEO has stolen Musk’s thunder and it’s a lesson for every leader. Sam Altman and Elon Musk aren’t friends. They used to be colleagues back when the two were co-founders of OpenAI, and they seemingly shared the belief that artificial intelligence could be a huge net benefit for society.

One Trump ally told Politico that “It’s clear he has abused the proximity to the president” in his attack on Altman—which pretty quickly devolved from “they don’t have the money” to presenting Altman as a spineless flip-flopper who trashed Trump during his first term but is sucking up to him now.
