American Airlines stock was declining amidst an NTSB-led investigation involving its passenger jet collision with an Army Black Hawk helicopter in Washington, D.C.

The publication specifies that search and rescue work is underway on the Potomac River. They began after the plane carrying 64 people collided in mid-air with a Black Hawk helicopter, in which there were three soldiers. The collision occurred as the airliner attempted to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport outside of Washington, D.C.
