A Flock Safety camera captured an image of a gray Mazda CX-5 that was stolen out of Benton Harbor late Thursday night in La Porte County, resulting in a vehicle pursuit through the City of La Porte.
A deputy reportedly noticed the vehicle still rolling and chased it down before it caused any property damage or injuries.
"Quite frankly, this is a necessity to ensure the room is staffed properly," said Lake County E-911 Director Mark Swiderski.
The Hendry County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating a reported shooting at a LaBelle Dollar General parking lot.
