Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday, January 10 after district officials re-evaluated the road and sidewalk conditions.

With snow still covering some local roads, Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced its plans for Wednesday classes.

Adrian Leisk, head of road safety at Devon and Cornwall Police, advised commuters to slow down, while Paul Beecher, from National Highways, asked people to carefully consider their travel plans. Some school and colleges in both counties have closed on Thursday as temperatures dropped to -7C in Devon overnight.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) reopened Thursday after a two-hour delay and some parents believe that the doors should have remained closed. Parents said due to the icy road and sidewalk conditions,
