NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Congressional lawmakers demanded answers Wednesday about the FBI’s response to the Jan. 1 truck attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people, questioning why the bureau’s top official in the city was out of town and raising concerns about its initial, erroneous assertion that the rampage was “not a terrorist event.”

The FBI has also revised the number of people injured in terrorist Shadsud-Din Jabbar’s attack, increasing the number to from 37 to 57.

Bourbon Street was blanketed with snow Tuesday when historic winter weather dumped as much as 10 inches of snowfall on the city. After the snow snow stopped and the sun went down, some of the snow on the ground turned to slushy ice.

By noon, the National Weather Service had reported about 4 inches of snow in New Orleans. The storm prompted the first ever blizzard warnings for several coastal counties near the Texas-Louisiana border, and snow plows were at the ready in the Florida Panhandle, according to the Associated Press.
