The Vancouver Whitecaps have won their third straight Canadian Championship title, defeating Toronto FC 0-0 (4-2 on penalties) in the final at BC Place on Wednesday.  Defender Bjorn Utvik scored the decisive penalty for Vancouver,

They chirped, they clawed, they yanked, they flopped and they fouled. They goaded players into yellow cards. Toronto FC played, well, most un-Canadian in the most Canadian of soccer games. That made it more satisfying that it was a young Canuck who spurred the Vancouver Whitecaps to victory over the Reds in the Canadian Championship game at B.

The Vancouver Whitecaps were not the best side on Wednesday night at BC Place, but for the third year in a row the Caps are Canadian champions thanks to a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Toronto FC after a scoreless regulation draw.
