As the coaching carousel begins to take its spins around the league, there have been many names being connected to the Bears, including interim head coach Thomas Brown, who stepped in after Matt Eberflus was fired after a Thanksgiving disaster against the Detroit Lions. In January of 2022, newly named Chicago Bears general manager, Ryan Poles chose to hire Matt Eberflus away from his job as defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts after the 2021 season.

Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown has made his pitch for the team’s full-time position, interviewing Monday as the team’s coaching search continued.

The Bears are giving Brown the chance to interview for the full-time head coaching job, but this feels more like a professional courtesy than genuine interest in what his plan for the franchise would be.
