The towering conifer, donated by the Albert family in West Stockbridge was cut down Thursday morning and loaded onto a flatbed truck for the 140-mile trip. It is the first Rockefeller Center

For the first time since 1959, this year's Rockefeller Center tree comes from Massachusetts - West Stockbridge, to be exact. It was a donation from Michael Albert and his family, who are residents of the town. As of this morning (Nov. 12), the tree was set into position, where it will soon be decorated for the holiday season.
