Miami Heat veteran forward Jimmy Butler, 35, a six-time NBA All-Star, was held out of Sunday night's 95-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves because of a sprained right ankle, yet another matchup he has missed against one of his former teams.

Miami’s Nikola Jović made a three-point play with 7.8 seconds left, leaving the Wolves to marinate over a set of mistakes that clearly were eating at players and coach Chris Finch postgame.

According to Miami Herald reporter Anthony Chiang, Butler won't play the Wolves because of an ankle injury, which he suffered on Friday night against the Denver Nuggets. In that game, he was limited to just seven minutes.
