One of the best active coaches in college football, Georgia’s Kirby Smart, was just beaten by one of the rising stars in the profession, Notre Dame Marcus Freeman.

It very much seemed like Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman was playing 3-D chess against Georgia’s Kirby Smart, who may have been playing checkers against the Irish after his team lost in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.
