Police said Jared Masseur tried to grab an officer's gun when an officer was shot in the leg early Saturday morning.

Jared Masseur, 40, was arrested in Bedford, New Hampshire after officers approached a vehicle parked near Country Inn & Suites on South River Road just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Judge Mark Derby ordered Jared Masseur, 40, to remain in custody pending a probable cause hearing on Jan. 16, according to police in Bedford N.H., where the officer was wounded over the weekend.
