Oct 25, 2024 · Roll them with the other rusty steel cents and sell them by the circulated roll. Or hang on to them. It doesn't matter if they end up in the wild because it's easy to tell if they're plated vs. original. Similar to the colorized ASEs or state quarters. It's not like they're counterfeit. Jul 18, 2024 · Here is the nicer one. This 1833 large cent is PCGS graded AU-58. It is the Newcomb 5 variety, which features the "horned 8." That would keep my grading expenses low, about $20-$25 per coin but on the down side, I would be committed to selling even if they returned straight-graded. Decisions, decisions.
