"Ensign Ro" is the 103rd episode of the American science-fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, the third episode of the fifth season. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship Enterprise-D.

Ro Laren / ˈroʊ ˈlærən / is a fictional character appearing on a recurring basis in the fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons of the American science-fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The character returned for the third season of Star Trek: Picard.

Ensign Ro was played by Michelle Forbes and first appeared in the fifth season TNG episode named for her, "Ensign Ro". Forbes was chosen for the role because the production staff were impressed with her performance as Dara in the fourth season episode "Half a Life".
