Nov 2, 2012 · If it's mold, we'll kill it and remove that coating from the walls. I don't like the coating anyway. The exposed sandstone needs to be repointed. I suspect the sandstone under this coating might need repointed too. What a mess. I can't understand why anyone would put this stuff on sandstone.

Jul 28, 2014 · The products like "green board" are not just "heavier paper" but paper that is coated with a substance that totally prevents the kind of "wicking" that often leads to MAJOR problems with moisture and mold -- greenboard or "moisture resistent gypsum board" are both good products with good reasons to choose them.

Water spilled on the rug and there were some stains (definitely not mold because it started staining immediately as the tank water hit the rug).
