Since 2021 he has starred in the Hulu mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building alongside Martin Short and Selena Gomez. He has also worked on Broadway as a playwright and composer. He wrote the 2014 musical Bright Star and the 2016 comedy Meteor Shower.
