About Us - Museum of Music History
The Museum was founded by Oliver Davies in 2003, under the patronage of Sir Charles Mackerras (1925 -2010), after the late John Cruft, a former Music Director of the Arts Council of Great Britain, chaired a discussion on Britain’s need for a comprehensive and fully accessible music and dance museum.

New appointments at MOMH - Museum of Music History
We are delighted to welcome Dr Kate Kennedy and Dr Alice Little to critical positions in the museum. Dr Kennedy, Co-Director of the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing at Wolfson College and Senior Research Fellow in Music, will assume the position of General Manager, while music historian Dr Little will serve as Curator.
