Hi all, I’m travelling with my mother for vacation to Turkey for about 2 weeks. We’re from a large city in the states but we are spanish speakers as well. This is our first time travelling there and are also planning to visit Cappadocia and Ephesus/Izmir. We are starting the trip in Istanbul for 3 days arriving to IST and staying near Galata.

May 3, 2022 · Google maps works in Istanbul and is pretty reliable for using transit. NOTE: every time you change mode of transport, you pay again. So if you’re taking one continuous trip, but switch between bus and subway or tram, you will pay when you first board AND when you switch, so when planning, look for routes that don’t require switching.

Jan 5, 2021 · FYI turkey is kind of risky if a real surgeon isn’t doing all the work. Try to avoid places that do flat rates or have techs do all the work. Research...personally only think 3 clinics in turkey are worth going to and I went to one of them and they’re all in Ankara not in Istanbul.

Mar 4, 2022 · You’ll be fine dressing however you like in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya ext. where local people hang out. If you’re thinking of visiting more conservative cities such as Konya, Urfa ext. you may want to cover up a bit more(up to you) without needing to wear a headscarf tbh.

Mar 14, 2021 · So i was reading some older threads on reddit, about how dating is perceived in Istanbul (and in Turkey in general) and the perception i got was, that it's a pretty mixed society. Some people are too conservative about dating a person and would rather get married. Others not so much.. but those are hard to find.
